On September the 11th of this year Givenchy headed by Creative Director, Riccardo Tisci collaborated with the artist, Marina Abromovich to celebrate Tisci’s 10th anniversary with Givenchy and opening of the new store in city.
With a presentation of couture and ready-to-wear menswear and womenswear collections, Tisci’s the proceedings began with a bride and groom dressed in black and white. The beautifully cut silk and lace slip dress worn with black trousers and coats in dressing gown styles made with black and white colour were one of the focal points of the event.
Embellished evening dresses and jewelled masks by Pat Mc. Grath added more charm to the event.
Kardashian, Kendell Jenner walked for Tisci in a white lace slip dress and Joan Smalls could be seen in a black velevt sheath exploding into bubbles of tulle.
Models walked the ramp through the Abramovic’s rusted iron set, which was inspired by monumental aspects of the city along with the international music played in the background, which added serenity and raw brutalism.
The fashion event was loaded with big stars like Kim Kardashian, who proudly showed off her baby bump in black lace maternity wear, as well as Kanye West and Julia Roberts.
There were many heart-touching events arranged around the riverside venue like a woman standing under a stream of running water and a man holding tree branches which instilled a sense of hope and reconciliation.
To conclude, the Tisci and Abromovich presentation was a brilliant gesture to promote cultural diversity and a sense of unity and community.
