The collaboration of Kim Jones and Stussy gives a definition of new masculinity, a refreshment. The new 40 looks in the collection are all about eclectic colorful looks. When I first saw this collection, the Art Deco tones, reminded me of Miami. Seeing this collection evokes feelings of acute nostalgia for my days watching The Assassination of Gianni Versace since this story also took place in Miami. I have never been to there before, I wish I could, but the multiple bright colors, the patterns, the vibe, everything, they belong to Miami. Everything combined is befitting the Miami backdrop. . It is a perfect combination of streetwear and haute couture, embroidery and beading, floral patterns and python prints which somehow reminds me of Roberto Cavalli.

 

The way Jones took advantage of graffiti style and along with Stussy created new prints, played with such “psychedelic kind of colors” also impresses me. Using metal saddlebag, short cross-body saddlebag, French berets and hats, floral motifs, tropical pattern, Jones really knows how to intrigue audiences in general and me particularly, let alone Nike Air Jordan 1. This collection proves that you will always be lightened by infinite creativity of a true artist.
